Bigsound is an annual 4 day showcase of emerging artists, conferences and parties, hosted across 18 venues in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley. In 2018 we attended to spread the word for a reusable future. What we found when we arrived was a jam-packed timetable with more incredible music, speakers and parties than we could ever manage.

Highlights included Dave Grohl’s mum’s keynote, some fantastic acts including Kult Kyss, Genesis Owusu, Wax Chattels and Good Doogs; and a groundbreaking presentation by Heidi from Cloud Control who has teamed up with Future Super to start a fund for artists who want to invest in solar power called FEAT.

The best part of course was the Bloody Mary Brunch hosted by bettercup, which took place on Friday morning at X-Cargo. After a HUGE week and Closing Party the night before we were surprised so many people came along bright and early!

The bloody marys were a welcome refreshment and 400 burgers were completely gone before midday!

We already can’t wait for Bigsound 2019!
